This is Detour is best take Monday-Saturday between 10am and 6pm, and Sunday between 11am and 6pm, when most of the businesses along the route are open.
St. Augustine’s Chapel is not open on weekends, but you can listen to the content outside.
The Howard Theater is open from 10am-10pm on show days, and 12pm-7pm on days when they’re dark. You can check the theater’s schedule here.
Come hungry! This route stops at Ben’s Chili Bowl, one of the best places in D.C. for a great (and every affordable) bite to eat.
Bring cash if you’d like buy some Go-Go Music. The music store at the end of the route sells all sorts of Go-Go - from the bigger hits to rare live performances - but it’s cash only.
