Can I take a Detour without an Internet connection?

Yes! You can download any Detour in advance so you can take it offline, without using cellular data. On-site Detour requires only GPS, which does not use cellular data.

Note: An Internet connection is required for Android group audio sync. iOS users can sync audio with friends without an Internet connection.

To download a tour on iOS

1. Tap on the "Saved" tab.
2. Click on "Purchased"
3. Locate the tour you want to download, and tap the "..." menu
4. Tap "Download"

To download a tour on Android

1. Tap on the "Library" tab.
2. Click on "Purchased"
3. Locate the tour you want to download, and tap the "..." menu
4. Tap "Download"

Note: The Detour app requires that your WiFi be turned on but you do not have to be connected to any WiFi network. There are two reasons for this. Apple's location detection works much better when WiFi is enabled and we use "ad hoc" WiFi so our sync with friends feature can work without a data or network connection.
